Inhale fresh hope, Exhale the old habits

Every year at about this time, I feel the sad stab of loss. Loss of summer, bare feet, lazy days or just lazy moments, carefree habits even on Sunday Nights, ...and a new school year begins, lately with dread.

But today, I felt a change from all of that.

 I like it.
This journaling spread was motivated by, not an end, but a chance for a brand new beginning.
Working with my special ed co-teacher is going to be exciting.
I feel positive, ambitious, and motivated again.
I needed a change.
Do you?

Glad you are looking at the new season as an adventure.

I always look forward to this time of year. cooler temps, sweatshirts and sweaters, comfy throws, pumpkins, the smell of fall and fires.

YES I do! Thank you for your sweet comment - I'm sure you're busy this week getting ready for your second graders ;) I know that they are lucky to have you. AND yes, this new school year is the first time that I will have all days to myself - and I'm looking forward to actually getting more of a refined schedule and start accomplishing things. Good Luck and have a great last weekend of Summer, xoxo

I am glad you are feeling motivated going into this new school year Kathy! ♥ I too could use a few days off, and then some sweet motivation with the seasons change. ;)

You have a great positive attitude! I always feel somewhat bittersweet near the end of Summer, but I do love the turning of the leaves, crisp Fall air and . . . snuggle weather!

I've just been catching up on your blog. Sounds like you need another summer break to catch up from your busy summer. Your daughter's wedding was so beautiful! Such a beautiful girl. Hope you have a fabulous holiday weekend before you're off and running this year:)

Kathy, another beautiful page. I remember last year, your post on starting the new year. You sound so happy, confident and open. That makes me smile.

Change is a good thing . . . I loved your post and I found myself wanting to journal more than I do. I hope your fall is filled with all good things and your new school year will be wonderful. A change for me will be to spend more time with me and my journal, I needed a little nudge!

Wonderful pages and inspiring sentiments. I feel the same this time of year and tend to go into hibernation mode as my body seems to want an extra hour of sleep each night as the evenings darken earlier.

A change is always good - not sure what though - I shall think.

Enjoy your new motivation for school.
