Light and Energy:: Journaling

I can't expect something different
if I don't at least try to do
some things differently.

I need to walk more,
 lift more, eat more veggies,
and take care of my spirit.
...

Play!
Create some art!

Have a great new week!

Heartfelt

 I played.
I tried out my new, fat
 Caran D'Ache NeoArt
 Aquarelle water-soluable wax pastels...
and LOVE them!

I finished my last journal and started a new one!

I've always loved and collected HEARTS:
rocks, books, jewels...so it seemed fitting
to try out new supplies by scribbling
 and doodling hearts.

It felt SO good to play,
to get a bit messy and free. I highly recommend it.

And I highly recommend these pastels.
I drew, then wiped a damp paper towel over parts,
just to see what would happen
and how they would blend and work.

I see many hours...years in this together.
LOVE these.

Have an amazingly fun weekend.

Hearts,
~k

In Sorrow and in Love

A very special, long-time, loving friend passed away last week.
 I feel such grief.
 But I count my blessings,
one of which, was knowing her.
If you love someone, tell them today.

I am thankful for you,
my friends.

Thank you for visiting.

Love,

Seeds of Hope

With love to Boston...

Hope.

In finding peace
when there isn't enough here on earth.

Sadness...

With the heavens so beautiful in the morning, yesterday,
how could this day have gone so...shockingly wrong...?

I am saddened at the Boston Tragedy and feel such despair
at those that can hurt others so deeply, like that. A child...innocent ones.

When I was just a little girl,
I would imagine God shaking His head in Fatherly sadness
as people hurt others and made
this
life
so
hard.

I must send love
and prayers
and hope
out into the universe.

We must.

But I am so sad...

Nature's Inspiration

Graphite pencil sketch

I took a long walk this morning.

I'm trying to be better about getting regular exercise,
and to breathe more fresh air,
now that Spring has promised to come.

I had a lot of work to do inside today,
but I did love that power walk
with my sweet Ellie pup
and the incredible beauty in Nature
during my favorite part of the day: morning.

I think it's amazing that Nature surprises,
every single day,
no matter how busy or how old we get!

Hope you had a great weekend, friends!
Cheers to a brand new week!

Pause.
 Just stop for a moment.
Breathe.
Feel the light in the space between.

Welcome!

Unexpected

Most of the time when I walk in the door, from work,
I don't go straight to my PaperPumpkin Room,
grab my journal, and get started.
Immediately.

Today, however, after a 10-hour teaching day
with 8 minutes for a snack and 22 minutes to eat lunch,
followed by an hour long meeting,
after a crazy day with "issues",

my mind needed, NEEDED my journal,
my space,
my release,
and I only thought of circles.

My busy thoughts were spinning in circles.
My views on changes in education
always go back to cycles.

So, I stamped circles inside of circles, inside of a circle...
and then just felt compelled
to write in a spiraling circle

and

it straightened out my cluttered head
and led me, unexpectedly, to a focal point
of realization.

Spring Painting in my Journal

 Nature is incredibly inspiring.

Flowers just budding...

...and popping up through the icy ground.

Joy and sunshine flow through me.

I am more affected by seasons & light than I ever knew.

My head clears, the fog lifts, and I truly feel lighter,
stronger.

This journal is almost filled. Winter is leaving.
New beginnings!

Wishing you a happy new week, friends!

Open to Possibilities...

It was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining for most of it
and the sky was a brilliant blue. I felt truly happy. I felt light.

I admit that I haven't felt this way a whole lot lately..
.but today was...easy.
I have a grateful heart that feels like it grew three sizes.

aaaaah.

I will toss it into the breeze and blow it your way!
It's out there!
