Golden Yellow Journaling

An art journal page inspired by sunshiney yellows.

Though normally I don't do much with yellow, this was fun because the yellow paints and papers & metallic gold inspired the most wonderful flashbacks of a great family vacation when the kids were little...aaaah. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, after a friendly invite, to spend a week living on the beach. We packed up the car and went. Great decision. Life highlight.

What is your favorite vacation memory?

Tiny Flowers, Soft Colors, Vintage

I really enjoyed making the new month's Calendar for the 2011 Calendar Challenge by Kate For July. I was thinking about vintage looks and little bouquets of garden flowers, most likely because of all of the floral ~wedding~ conversations floating about over here.

We are going to order the flowers online, have them delivered shortly before the wedding day, and make all of our own bouquets and arrangements!

Imagine ivory and yellow...ranaculus...garden roses...wildflowers...!

July is a big month for us with lots of birthdays and parties in the family, too

Of course, because I love to color,
I had to fill in the petals on the most important July days!

It was fun to use my new floral wreath/circle stamp.
I thought it was the cutest thing when I saw it in the shop,
but I didn't know at the time, what I'd use it for.

Perfect for calendar days, it turns out!

Happy of July to you all!
Thank you so much for visiting me!
You make me grin wildly!
