A Page and a Promise

When I was nine years old,

a friend was instantly, tragically killed

when she was hit by a car.

In her diary, her family found these words,

"If you love someone, tell them today".

I have never stopped hearing

these words in my head.

I say these meaningful words often.

I probably mean them even more.

doing some stamping

before writing.

I have been thinking

even more

about gratitude

and

about my many blessings.

And I had such a wonderfully fun

birthday this year.

And the sun is shining again.

Beautiful.

I am even using yellow,

which I rarely do.

Permission Granted

Every day has its ups & downs,

but today I granted myself

permission

to stop,

pause,

hesitate,

wait

and really feel the Ups

when four months of effort at work 

paid off in two really big ways.

Two children

got what they needed.

So before any inevitable

swoops and downs landed,

I put my arms out wide

gathered in the shear Bliss

and

felt

grateful,

peaceful,

content.

Part of being

in

the

moment.
