Oh What a Beautiful Morning

Woke up to this

Sun on snow, one of my favorite sights to see

(if I am not cold, and it sparkles, haha).

House guests, good friends, for the long weekend.

Getting ready for a big birthday party later today.

This is the new deck that I did get to sit on for a moment this fall!

It's off of the living room, which is almost done, too.

 This is the view from the deck, on a good morning.

I truly appreciate the sunshine in winter.

Actually, it's not even officially winter yet, but I am tired of the darkness. 

Pitch black when I leave for work in the morning, and

sunset when I return.

So, when the weekends give me a sunny sky,

I jump for joy...and for my camera!

If you are in gray weather, take this and enjoy!

No, It's NOT Spring Yet...

...and this is who and what greeted me this morning! I just had to show you.

I'll be playing inside today, thank you very much. See, spring only snuck in one day last week so I would know what I was missing. I woke up on my first vacation day today to learn that my husband, Michael, had already been out for 5 hours snowblowing driveways. Can you see his hat all covered in ice? Ugh. Give me hot coffee...and that hot shower. I'll wake up my way!
