Though today we could have gotten snow and hail, and the wind is gusting at 55 mph (our power went out all morning), the lilacs are blooming! So, a tree limb just crashed down on my car, but I am staying focused on the promise of spring's beauty!

Update: The top of my car is okay, but it took a tail light out...not as bad as it could have been! And, it did snow on Mother's Day-- a first for me. :)
i'm starting to wonder if mother nature isn't a bit hormonal.....snow....lilacs....snow.....lilacs...... hmmmm....it sounds like she's about as crazy as i am most days!!! i'm glad your car wasn't damaged too badly.....take a deep breath of those lilacs, sweet gal!!! xox, :))
Thank you for the visit to my blog, you asked and I felt compelled to asnwer quickly. I own "The Historian", I even started it once and I had the feeling it would be a good vampire story, not the kind we turned used nowadays. I left it because I got new ones and one from Murakami and I love Murakami so I couldn't avoid it, plus the edition I own of "The Historian" had a terrible font and it turn really hard to the eyes to read it. I got with a magazine for a very cheap price, but I guess they do not care a lot about about they edit the books... anyways, I really want to read it some fine day and I'm glad you mentioned it :)
Plus, I love those lilacs :) I love flowers, not that much in a jar but growing, I prefer much more them in a garden or inside pot growing, than inside a jar with water and cut. That house behind them make me feel it is such a beautiful place with a dreamy garden as we see in films!
