Something a Little Different

Taking a break from my Self,
...doing something different in my journal.

I had fun!
Hey, did you notice I even stuck with yellow,
my least favorite color to work with?!
This could mean something...

Have YOU ever tired of your Self, and gone on break?
Try something new and different!
Kick up your heels!

If you did, or if you do,
come back and tell me about it!
I'd love to hear!

I'm going to a Halloween costume party next week.
Normally, introverted me doesn't like to dress up
or go to a party.
But today, I started creating a costume that...
well, you may not recognize me...

more spooky stuff later...!

Thanks so much for visiting,
~k

Loving your bright yellow pages and the contrast with the black & white. Can't wait to see what you're going to be for Halloween. I always have the hardest time deciding on something...

I love working with reds and yellows ;)...but I am a Leo after all. I am working on a page that is strictly a 'free fall'...no planning whatsoever...and it is so different from my regular gotta have a plan personality...I'm not comfortable with it yet....but I hope to be...it is all part of letting loose which is what I want to learn to do. I love the Marilyn kicking her heels up. Really love it. Have fun at the party.

Wow, stunning colours - that yellow really looks good with the black and white. It's my least favourite colour to work with too, so hats off to you for working outside your comfort zone - it's beautiful work! I also love the softer yellow of the pages in your previous post, and those leaves are gorgeous. Once again the yellow and black look stunning together.

Kathy, i just LOVE LOVE this page!! Yellow is normally not one of my favorite colors either, but you did a fantastic job here at combining it with JUST the right amount of other colors and forms. Just beautiful. LOVE the background patterns and that great black and white photo. Fantastic job... xox

Yes, I get sick of myself sometimes! When I was in a rut I created a journal in the style of a whole lot of other artists - using colours and combinations, materials, and images that I wouldn't normally use. Not copying their pages, but taking an aspect and putting my own slant on their style. It pulled me back up and gave me something new to work with.
Glad to hear the headaches are easing :)
