Sunrise:: Journaling

 I think I mentioned a ways back
that I drive east in the morning
toward a sunrise
and I drive west, back home after work,
at sunset
this time of year.

Sometimes I bring my camera
and pull over on the side of a country road
to photograph
the incredible beauty.

Yesterday I saw this layering of color
in the sunrise
and instead of using my camera
I held it in my heart and in my memory.
I promised myself I would create
in my journal
with
these colors, and
in the same surprise order they really were.

It really is an amazing gift, this sky of ours.

This background was done with pastels.

Sorry I haven't been around much these past two weeks.
I am trying to catch up
and I think of you, friends.

Pssst, I am helping to create a fun and memorable
baby shower for my daughter, the mama-to-be!

(Ooooh, I felt my granddaughter-to-be
kick for the first time!
She kicked when I sang:
"I love you a bushel and a peck,
and a hug around the neck." )

Hold the love and beauty in your heart.

Thanks for visiting,

Journaling Pages & Spreads from Nature's Inspiration

The page above was inspired by today's walk.
I LOVE this warm autumn weather.
I can enjoy the leaves!

Below: I don't think I showed you
this whole collage spread before.

...nor this finished one, from August, below:

This one is from a few days ago:

My time outdoors
is my time for quiet and
for gratitude.

This 3-day weekend
I am all alone
and I have time to rest,
create,
clean,
catch up,
organize,
re-energize,
connect.

It is good.

Shine your light

Our true beauty comes from within.

In de-cluttering my life,
I discover that letting go of
the past and its inevitable mistakes,
opens up so much space for
the light of forgiveness
and the glow of real beauty
to shine.

Peace,
~k

Let go. Let it go. Journaling.

After doing my very very best
at work all week,
I am letting it go.

Let it go like a butterfly.

Having fish fries with my Mom!
Sabres hockey tonight,
a weekend of fall fun...
maybe a few papers to grade...
but fun.

Hope you enjoy your weekend, too.

October :: journaling

 As I drove east
early this morning,
the sun rose with a majestic entrance
that could only be.
September was so sunny and spectacular this year,
October needed to send out its brightest magenta
fireball
to greet its first day.

I think this nature lover
is enjoying this particular Autumn
more than any other.

Perhaps you can tell?!
