Journaling :: I Feel

I feel...

...the awesome power
and beauty of Autumn.

...and I am grateful for
the colors of the falling leaves
the warmth of the sun on my face
and the skies that we all share.

So, if you don't get the change of season
to autumn with its colors now,
this is for you!
Thank you for visiting!

in my journal

...and softly, August faded
 and September crept in...

...and I am in my classroom tomorrow (Tuesday)
with a brand new group of second grade children.

Prayers, positive thoughts: these are in my head
and in my heart as I go forward
once again.

It was a beautiful, full summer.
I am filled with gratitude.

Peace to you this September!

Round and Round We Go...

Being a sensitive person can be a very good thing
when you are a teacher.

  Being a very sensitive person
can be very difficult
and often painful...when you are a teacher.

Sometimes I think I need thicker skin.
Sometimes I just wish that everyone
would follow The Golden Rule.

Isn't it really all about Respect?
...

Around and around we go...

The Journey :: Journaling

I had such a nice weekend, the best in a long time...
I got a lot done, but I also relaxed and played.

I spent all of Saturday afternoon with Mom.

Mom is preparing to go home at last,
 after 5 months of...trying.

Everything happens for a reason.
I think Mom has changed a lot.
I don't know if she realizes it yet
.
 I think I've learned more.

And I think that by being able to help Mom,
I got closer to her,
like I've always wanted.

It's been scary,
it's been hard,
but it was necessary
and some of it was really, really
good.

The Path.
Being aware of the Journey.

~k

PS. Thank you for your thoughts & prayers.
I will be sure to let you know when Mom goes Home!

Journaling

Got through one of my worst types of day
as an educator: the formal observation.
It's me.
I have such incredible
Anticipation Anxiety.

My lesson was 50 minutes long,
on Compare & Contrast...
and I think it went well,
and once I'm three minutes into it,
I am myself again
and go with the natural flow
of doing what I have always done...

Teach little children.

We described two fiction characters,
compared & contrasted them,
and drew conclusions to answer the Essential Question:

Are they more alike, or
more different?

They both turned out to be kind,
responsible,
 respectful,
and caring to animals...

Even though they did different things
with different animals.

Such goodness.

Love,
~kath

Seeds of Hope

With love to Boston...

Hope.

In finding peace
when there isn't enough here on earth.

Sadness...

With the heavens so beautiful in the morning, yesterday,
how could this day have gone so...shockingly wrong...?

I am saddened at the Boston Tragedy and feel such despair
at those that can hurt others so deeply, like that. A child...innocent ones.

When I was just a little girl,
I would imagine God shaking His head in Fatherly sadness
as people hurt others and made
this
life
so
hard.

I must send love
and prayers
and hope
out into the universe.

We must.

But I am so sad...

Open to Possibilities...

It was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining for most of it
and the sky was a brilliant blue. I felt truly happy. I felt light.

I admit that I haven't felt this way a whole lot lately..
.but today was...easy.
I have a grateful heart that feels like it grew three sizes.

aaaaah.

I will toss it into the breeze and blow it your way!
It's out there!

Gratitude :: Journaling

With so much to be grateful for,
I just have to stop and say Thank You.
Often.

Berries drawn with brown colored pencil.
Abundance always make me think of fruit...berries.
Not sure why!

Much love,

Breathe :: Journaling

I find myself deep in thought
a lot.

I need my quiet, alone time,
but yet I take great comfort in knowing that I am never truly alone
in this.

When you just quietly think,
where do your thoughts wander?

Journaling

Catching a few moments every now and then
to work toward completing a whole page.

Writing about filling up with gratitude
 and keeping the faith...
trusting...
as each layer in this collage
just kept getting interrupted by .. life.

I thank you for visiting.

Journaling

We had a brief glimpse of spring the other day.
It made me remember my childhood
daydreams and cloud searches for angels...
I wondered what was in store for me.

I still do...

Even when I am tempted to leap off a difficult path
I remember to trust that this path
is the one I'm supposed to be on...

"It'll all be okay in the end.
If it's not okay,
it's not the end."
