Spirit :: Journaling

Hello! I am off from work today.
Our district closed the schools
because of the sub-zero temperatures
and crazy blowing winds.

I braved the cold for just a brief moment
and realized why!

This collage made me feel warmth
and sun.
I like the light.

It is inspired, also, by the
wonderful, wonderful
book
I am reading...(two pages per day):

A Year of Miracles,
Daily Devotions & Reflections
by
Marianne Williamson.

I hope you check it out.
It speaks to me
but also puts into words
more beautifully,
the thoughts I am thinking lately.

Love to you,
~k

Journaling...

When I woke up this morning
it was still well below freezing
but the sky was brilliant blue
without a single cloud
and the sun shone so
brightly
on the knee-high snow
that
I almost
liked
winter
again...!

Yes, I keep summer in my heart.
I love to feel the sunshine
on my skin...

Peace and love to you,
~k

Silence :: Journaling

Sometimes all I need is Silence.

It frees up my mind
allowing me to open to the light.
When I am still,
I can turn off the world's chaos
and feel the sense of order
that is really in the universe, and the love.

{I've been into geometric shapes lately.}

>>>...>>>

And this is how I wanted to celebrate
my birthday last week:

Andi has already grown!

She is 2 weeks old
and is filling out her newborn sized sleepers!

Oh, I love her so much
that

my

heart

swells

and tears well up in my eyes.

amazing...
my granddaughter.

Learning

I am at a point in my life
when I am discovering
and learning
so much

...about a lot of things
and about Life

and about myself

I guess I wasn't ready to learn it earlier
but at least I am open now
and am forgiving myself.

I am meant to be
me
and I am enough.

I just want to learn more.
It is all so miraculous, this life.

...
Thank you for visiting
and for sharing in my granddaughter love & joy.

1.4.14

A ways back, it was today's date that I predicted
would be the birth date of my first grand baby.
It's an awesome date, don't you think?!

Well, we are waiting yet...
eagerly, anxiously,
excitedly,
gratefully.

I do not know what
this precious baby will look like
but she will be as beautiful
and as loved
as the sky and the moon and the stars.

My heart swells.
Overflowing,

2013 :: Trust

Mixed Media collage in new art journal.

My Word for 2013 was Trust.
It found me.
It was meant to find me,
right when it did.
I am grateful.
And I do Trust.

What was your Word?
How do you feel about it as the year closes?

in my journal :: lots of writing

I have been doing lots of thinking
so I guess I had a lot to release onto
the pages...

Mixed media collage
in my art journal.

Is November really done in just a few hours?
Hope yours was filled with much
for which to be grateful!

Releasing onto Pages

Journaling whenever I can...
trying to feel like I really do do something other
than work.

Remembering to breathe,
Trust,
feel peace
and
listen to the silence...

...and know that even fatigue
passes.

Wishing the world could just
slow down.
You know?

I'm sure you do!

Okay, breathe.
Thanks for visiting.

in my journal

Collage and writing...
in my art journal.

We had an unexpected warmer day today.
I took my Mom to Fro Yo
for a frozen yogurt lunch...
yes, we played hookie from a traditional
boring lunch...

What's new with you?

Sharing :: Soulful Artist Bebe Butler

Hi friends,
Sometimes, when I am just taking a walk
I have the time to actually just think.
And this time, when I took my walk,
I thought about my blog friends.

We are not "virtual friends". We form strong
 beautiful, lasting, supportive, real, friendships.
We learn from one another;
we've cried for one another, we inspire one another.
All the time.

Those that don't get it, don't know about it yet!
C'mon in! The door is open!

I love the sharing
I firmly believe that we are all connected in this universe.
Spread the love, share the art, spread the positivity, the peace.

I want to introduce you to a friend,
a soulful, beautiful person, and artist
whom I respect, admire
and am inspired by: Bebe Butler.

She creates mixed media pieces on wood
and art prints that are so moving...

Bebe says, "I believe the images you surround yourself with can speak both to who you are, and where you're going..."

Bebe Butler is as true and beautiful as is her art...

I love the way her work flows...
from heart and soul...
the colors
from a place of warmth and peacefulness.

Breathe in some more beauty and inspiration:

I have included links on the photos,
and here are the paths to Bebe's
 and her gorgeous website.

Peace,
~k

Summer of Color: Final Week Already...#6

It's safe to say that we all love Kristin's Summer of Color...and
this one went really fast!
The color combination in this final week is Sage & Sepia:

Vintage comes to mind right away... and then botanical...
which made me want to use my poppy pod photo
and newly carved botanical leaf pattern stamp.

~Delight in Summer!~

 "Hot fun in the summertime!"

Remembering that nothing's perfect,
I seek to embrace my itchy bug bites with glorious sunshine,
muggy humidity with the ice cream evenings...
because
 L.O.V.E  summertime.

~k

Thank you, Kristin! Your summer party was INCREDIBLE
and so are YOU!
xoxo

Hello. Welcome to My Morning:: Journaling

Pause.
 Just stop for a moment.
Breathe.
Feel the light in the space between.

Welcome!
