Relax Mode

Aaah. I survived An Extreme Rush and am breathing myself
                 into Relaxation Mode.
Yes, Groundhog Day, 100th Day of School, Valentine's Day,
Presidents' Day, my annual teacher evaluation/observation,
and Parent Teacher Conferences...all in two weeks.
And now, a week's vacation.  Can you see my smile?

Hope you are enjoying this wonderful Saturday!

My Word

    ...found me. SPIRIT.
    I love it.

I do feel the need to nurture my true spirit,
    to be truer to myself,
to meditate and become more in touch
    with BEing.

I was having my doubts about a Word for 2016,
but remained open, and there it was.  Is.  Spirit.

It's perfect for me.  It speaks about who I am,
who I want to become as I learn and grow,
and whispers something so gently strong.

I close my eyes and smile as I think it: Spirit.

My spirit settles into Being as I meditate,
but my spirit also yearns for something more
that I have yet to realize.

      Happy New Year friends!
May you have peace, love, and good health.

      love,
      k

Spirit :: Journaling

Hello! I am off from work today.
Our district closed the schools
because of the sub-zero temperatures
and crazy blowing winds.

I braved the cold for just a brief moment
and realized why!

This collage made me feel warmth
and sun.
I like the light.

It is inspired, also, by the
wonderful, wonderful
book
I am reading...(two pages per day):

A Year of Miracles,
Daily Devotions & Reflections
by
Marianne Williamson.

I hope you check it out.
It speaks to me
but also puts into words
more beautifully,
the thoughts I am thinking lately.

Love to you,
~k
