Memories of a Lifetime

You know how you think and feel very deeply
when you go to a wedding
or to a memorial service?

You think about your past, or your future,
or your whole life.

Today was one of those days.

A childhood friend passed away
and today was his memorial
and everyone I grew up with was there
and it was surreal.

Memories swirling all around
all of us.

Friends and neighbors I hadn't seen in 30 years
and it brought back another lifetime.

And Craig,
you would have loved it all.
And we all loved you.

I know exactly what you are saying Kathy... so sorry to hear that your friend passed away... it is at times like these when our raw emotions help us see what is real... happy to hear you say it was a beautiful service...

BIG hugs

Oh Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear this. Last summer I lost my childhood friend who I lived across the street from our entire childhood.
It was a very hard experience as I'm sure it was for you.
So glad you were able to share this with some old friends. Take care.

It's a shame when it takes something like this for us to reflect. I'm glad he was well loved as I'm sure you are too.
