Journaling Pages & Spreads from Nature's Inspiration

The page above was inspired by today's walk.
I LOVE this warm autumn weather.
I can enjoy the leaves!

Below: I don't think I showed you
this whole collage spread before.

...nor this finished one, from August, below:

This one is from a few days ago:

My time outdoors
is my time for quiet and
for gratitude.

This 3-day weekend
I am all alone
and I have time to rest,
create,
clean,
catch up,
organize,
re-energize,
connect.

It is good.

Let go. Let it go. Journaling.

After doing my very very best
at work all week,
I am letting it go.

Let it go like a butterfly.

Having fish fries with my Mom!
Sabres hockey tonight,
a weekend of fall fun...
maybe a few papers to grade...
but fun.

Hope you enjoy your weekend, too.

Unfolding :: journaling

The first week of a new school year is over.
We have been getting to know one another,
learning about rules of respect
and what we like,
even diving into math and assessing reading levels...

...and it was good.

I feel differently.
This year already has the unfolding of light in it.

And I am different.

Being in the present
has a real meaning for me.

I am finding my truth
in being in the present.

It brings with it
gratitude
in what is,

instead of anxiety of what might come next.

oh, Summertime...

Though I went to work yesterday for a workshop,
today and tomorrow
I still have summer vacation...so, I am

journaling softly,

napping happily,

 reading,

 listening to the Silence,

 and watching my flowers grow.

oh, and watching the Corn Moon, Full Moon.
Hope you caught it too.

Dear August,

You are going quickly, too quickly for me
but I am grateful for you.
Allow me to strengthen and prepare for the school year
to come...

and still soak up your light...
for a couple more days...

{sigh}

PS. Thank you so much for your Grama Congrats!!!
Yes, to  bring another sweet Capricorn Girl
into the world is pretty cool...ha!

Love,
kath

Just me...Journaling

sometimes I think about Spring
beginning new and fresh every year
and a teacher's school year
and a new class every year
beginning
ending.
Life
beginning
ending
and how I am just passing through.
beginnings and
endings.
ends and new beginnings.

those soft white petals
blow away in the wind.

there are things I can't hold onto
because I just shouldn't.

Nature's Inspiration

Graphite pencil sketch

I took a long walk this morning.

I'm trying to be better about getting regular exercise,
and to breathe more fresh air,
now that Spring has promised to come.

I had a lot of work to do inside today,
but I did love that power walk
with my sweet Ellie pup
and the incredible beauty in Nature
during my favorite part of the day: morning.

I think it's amazing that Nature surprises,
every single day,
no matter how busy or how old we get!

Hope you had a great weekend, friends!
Cheers to a brand new week!

so much I want to do

My Word for the New year is Clarity.
I have a lot of work to do.

I must get healthy, and stay healthy for more than 4 hours this year.
After a ten-day Christmas vacation from teaching in school, my doctor actually made me stay home today...and tomorrow. Well, we'll see about tomorrow. I haven't thrown in the towel yet.  C'mon, new antibiotics, kick in. My ears and sinuses have been infected since mid-November.

I have to visualize:  physical health-with-creatively happy.
And GET there.
Eating better,
exercising again,
drinking way more water,
taking care of myself the way I would others.
Praying more.
Meditating.
Decluttering.

I need Clarity.

I need organization of body and mind....

oh, and clearly some more aquas.

•thanks for stopping by today. I was feeling rather lonely and yuk.  ~k

My Drawer...

...of tapes.

It has become the new obsession after paper and fabric. It's just too much fun. Tape Bliss.

It is so very cold and snowy here, that I just want to cocoon and....tape.

Beginning Some Journal Pages

...collage beginnings, before doodling, scribbling, and writing any words.

I'll probably add more details to this one.I used some new tapes {love} and a new stamp that has lots of good stuff all together (bottom).

Snips and Rips and Sticky

Few things are more simple and fun than getting a package in the mail, right?! I think one of my goals for this summer is to send out more cards and fun packages to my friends and family so they can get happy at the mailbox too. Anyway, I got my mail and look what came!

I've been collecting a couple of rolls at a time of this amazingly gorgeously, fun tape, but I ordered a few more last weekend because I couldn't resist the free shipping...and well, my paper-fabric-journal-book-sticker obsession has spread to tapes. It's a necessity for art journaling at the moment and I don't want to be caught unprepared, afterall.

I'm not going away on any vacations this year, so...this is my favorite getaway. Aaah. ♥
