Welcome, June

I am so excited to be using my handmade, hand carved stamp here! I love poppy pods and poppies.

Happy June everybody!

What does June mean to you?
To me it means the last month of school,
when I've completed all of my work for the school year
(by June 24th, that is)
and taken my 24 students as far as I may take them in grade 2.
*
It means another month closer to the summer "off"
to do my own work,
play,
creations
and wedding planning before August's big day for my daughter.
It means almost July!
Aaaah.
Yeah, aaaaaah.
That's what June means,
the Finishing Month,
before I take a break.

I am giggling because I just wrote a similar post about June... the month of summer's beginning, and remembering to start living again. It's got to be bitter sweet watching those kids grow up to grade 3, but I'm sure it's also exciting to have a new group of little ones come your way in September. And I can not WAIT to see pictures of Mia's beautiful handmade wedding in August.

Much love my friend, xo!

Hi Kathy. June 1st here and it is raining, hailing, very cold, thundering and bizarre weather for California! Thank you for agreeing that my little book would make a fine teacher gift. I hope you get 24 thank you appreciations for the students you taught this year. Happy Finishing Month of June to you my dear...

June is my finishing month, too
and I share your joy
and stand and cheer
that you finished strong!
And I remember your hopes and fears
as you began this year
and look how well you've traveled this road!!!
Well done, you:)
I also remember this sweet hand-carved stamp;
happy poppy days to you
as you wrap up a year-lived-well.
