Sketching Faces

...in my journal.

Pencil sketch on decorative papers...in my journal. Unfinished page...

One thing I really want to do more of in 2014 is draw.
Inspired always by Julie Balzer's faces,
I want to sketch and practice painting portraits.

Not exactly a Resolution,
but a fun promise to myself
to do more of what I love.

Still awaiting the arrival of a new baby
in the family...perhaps for New Year's Eve?!
...

Don't you just LOVE the days between
Christmas and New Year's?
I feel relaxed and happy
to have free time.

Hope you do, too.

Hi Kathy,
I love looking at your posts. I like your resolution, I would like to do this artistic journalling. I received an email that reminded me of what you do. I was going to forward it to you, but, can't find your email address. Here is the link that the email takes you to: http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/Art-Journal-Caravan-The-FINAL-Expedition-2014-EARLY-BIRD.html.

I feel relaxed and happy, too! I love these in between days. In fact, I'm sitting in my bed with my laptop, listening to the birds in the garden, and looking at your gorgeous page. Ahhhhh...who needs resolutions?? This is the LIFE, sister! :) Hugs, Gwyn

And your drawing is becoming more and more exquisite....well done, you.
I've always wanted to try but never
