And on This Day

I took a quick photo of this journaling page after gluing and taping and stamping and doodling...but before writing. This page is simple, but my day really wasn't.
But hey, I learned a few good things
and I gave myself permission to stop something
that reached a limit I had.
Breathe. Don't react. Be.
Such good lessons. Such profound words when reached for at the most necessary of times.
There is good in the seemingly bad.
I found gratefulness instead of tears.

May you always find some quiet in the storms.
May you be able to stand on tippy-toe
and reach way up to the highest shelf
to find...gratitude.

Your post reminds me of a bible verse "Be thankful in all things", it's that "all" that is the hard part. But it brings the peace in the storms. Be blessed, XO, Cat

Sometimes we just need to take a moment to step back and reflect on the things that happen in our lives, and I'm so glad you were able to find gratitude and confidence in a tough situation... you go girl! ;)

Your remarks resonated with me. I have been reflecting on how my way of communicating with a relative could be better. I realized last night that there are just some things I cannot share. This person always says they want to be open and have heart to heart honesty but the reality is that they only want that when it does not require them to change their opinion or perspective. Like you I feel like I need to breathe and not react. I gave it so thought and sorted through what's worth butting heads over and what isn't. And while it may change our relationship, maybe sharing less will help us get along better. (Ok I'm rambling...)
