I totally believe that. I used to have a quote that I hung on my bathroom mirror. And every morning when I was getting ready for work I would read the quote out loud. And not just once, I would read it out loud 3 times. And I swear it made my day!
The quote was a bible verse.
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
