Unexpected

Most of the time when I walk in the door, from work,
I don't go straight to my PaperPumpkin Room,
grab my journal, and get started.
Immediately.

Today, however, after a 10-hour teaching day
with 8 minutes for a snack and 22 minutes to eat lunch,
followed by an hour long meeting,
after a crazy day with "issues",

my mind needed, NEEDED my journal,
my space,
my release,
and I only thought of circles.

My busy thoughts were spinning in circles.
My views on changes in education
always go back to cycles.

So, I stamped circles inside of circles, inside of a circle...
and then just felt compelled
to write in a spiraling circle

and

it straightened out my cluttered head
and led me, unexpectedly, to a focal point
of realization.

Art is such a wonderful gift. A true stress reliever. A way to clear our thoughts and recharge our souls. We used to write in circles and other shapes long ago in much younger years. Your circles and writing are wonderful. May you have peace and rest dear...

Art as therapy, it's what keeps me in this obsessive, messy, beautiful world of paper!

Glad it "straightened" some stuff out for you...

I have so many friends in teaching that are feeling frustrated. Take heart spring, or something like it, is almost here.

Beautiful energy to move out your day and create a meditation to feel better. I love the ideas of circles inside the larger circle, so life. xox

I know what you mean only too well, since as a teacher I have had those days too. In fact when I have one of those days, I just want to be home unloading in my journal and not at school.

WOW, this is truly unique. LOVE how looking at all the inner circles and the beautiful circling handwriting, I don't feel cluttered at all even when juxtaposed like that. SO grounding, like a mandala. Almost magical, like Alice looking glass. Hope you feel much better :). HUGS.
