My Mom always had lots of S & H Green Stamps and booklets. This dates me somewhat, doesn't it? Do you remember these?
I could look through old books and papers forever.

This was two Sundays ago, and was so much fun. I hadn't been to a flea market in a few years, but Michael and I used to go all the time when we were younger...when we were trying to fill our tiny home up! Now that we have the "Empty Nest Syndrome" (Except when Drew stayed this summer), we need to get rid of stuff. Isn't it funny how life goes?
So, we just stayed for an hour and I didn't buy much, but I was intrigued by a WWII soldier's mini banking book and mini atlas.
I also found a Train Conductor's log book that was very cool indeed, from 1940. Had to have that. Paper fetish again....I know.
Have you been to a flea market lately? 'Find anything good? Have a fun-filled weekend, my friends! Love, Kath

Oh how I would love to go to a flea market like this one - I could spend hours poking around there.
Hi Kathy - I think we have done art journalling with Kelly online together. I have been dipping into your blog and decided it is time to become a follower. Looks like you've been having fun :-)
Glad you were feeling up to the trek.....looks like a happy, carefree wandering:)

You are right - so funny how one changes through life's stages :-)
Mini atlas sounds hard to resist, though :-)
I love flea markets, thrift stores and rummage sales. I haven't been to many lately though although my husband recently bought me an old samsonite makeup bag from the forties/fifties with the hard case! It's a cornflower blue and smells like old ladies perfume inside. I love it!
P.S. Your heart is on it's way. I mailed it a few days ago...
