Once Again, Seeking Balance

Do you do this: wonder, when on vacation, if you are doing what it was you expected to do?
Rest, or catch up on everything?
What is the KEY to you having time well spent when on break from work, but staying at home?

And, in disussions with friends around the country, SPRING seems to elude us still yet.
Even the newspaper today couldn't escape the search for something spring-like
as sleet, hail, and snow continue to blow in
with the (strong) winds.

Spend each moment the way it seems fitting at that moment, and let the weather go, like a butterfly.

Time spent how you want to is the best way to spend it. Be it doing everything or doing very little but resting and reflecting. It is raining here also. I love your journal page.

totally understand the quest for balance
and love the life-giving words you splashed
on your wall....let it go like a butterfly:)
And "fitting at that moment" is the only way
to live unshackled by time, isn't it.
Love it!
Thanks for this, beautiful you!

I find the difference between work and play to depend only on how much I enjoy (or otherwise) the task. So I’d recommend to work hard at enjoying yourself – that way it won’t be work at all.

All the best, Boonie

My vacation ended last week, so this was my firt full week back. i usually make all kinds of unrealistic resolutions during my vacation... I will____... I'm trying to just enjoy each day and not think about work during vacation. I understand this search for balance!
hope you had a great vacation. Soak in the last couple of days!

Kathy, I find allowing myself to take naps... and also to journal thoughts and ideas keep me on the right track. Sometimes I jot something down that becomes a bigger idea, and sometimes it's just a thought and it leaves my mind after I write it down... The thoughts that stick with you, I believe are the things you should pay most attention to. That and really truly allowing yourself to rest. Naps are so wonderful. I can't wait till the weather is nice enough to open the windows, and sleep with the fresh air roaming through the house! ♥

Hi there kathy. I've been on vacation for a while so I haven't been by in a while. Hmmm, rest or catch up on everything?! When I am at home I find it impossible to rest - there is always so much to do! It's a difficult balance. Love your journal page, Kate
