I Don't Know Why...

...I don't do this more often.

Got materials together and doodled my design.

Rubbed design onto Mastercarve Block, using my fingertip/nail.

 Began carving
...changing my mind as I went along.
At first, I thought I wanted just 2 shapes,
with dots around the perimeter.

Then, decided I could always cut away more later
because I wanted 3 shapes, and scallops around the outside.

I LOVE the color, cerulean blue,
instead of always using black ink.

This is fun,
gives me a new original stamp for my journal pages,
and helps me to embrace my imperfections.

All good.

Kathy, this is beautiful. I have to try stamp carving. I went to my local Michaels and could not find any stamp carving supplies :(

I have to say, I saw the design and thought 'how fun' and then I saw the stamp on paper, and it's so organic looking, I love it!! :D

Beautiful stamp!
I agree, I just need to sit down and plan to carve, as it is so rewarding.

I gave my sister a set of stamp carving tools and materials. Hmmm...come to think of it I have everything needed too. Why don't I carve a stamp? Yours is fantastic!

Great design--really cool! I'll bet you get lots of use out of that in your journals. I don't know why I don't do more of this myself...I've done several small-ish stamps, need to try more. Fun!

I've never seen mastercarve before! I love this idea and your stamp is awesome. I've been looking for something unique to stamp on the walls of my creative space. I'm going to put this on my project list. Thank you!
