Triumph and Defeat...Fall Fearless

For Challenge No.3 of "Fall Fearless and Fly"
~Prompt and quote on Triumphs and Defeat using only B & W.

•••
I am not sure that I can label things,
nor events in my life, as Triumphs or as Defeats,
but rather
I can name some of my feelings or traits as those.
Perseverance
in the face of the most difficult of years
climbing instead of crumbling.
Now that's a triumph.

All we can do is try.
Attempt to turn stumbling blocks
into stepping stones.

Lovely sentiment - stumbling blocks into stepping stones. The feathers seem to lighten the mood of tis dark page.

Kathy, I love this. The swirly edges make the black softer. This has been quite a thought provoking challenge!

I LOVE the Black and White! So striking!

One of the things I love best about this is how much black space you did not fill. I also love the composition - the delicacy of your writing and the ethereal border and feathers. The measuring tape is a great touch too. And turning stumbling blocks into stepping stones -- brilliant. Thank you for joining Fall Fearless & Fly with this stunning journal spread.
